News for the week of August 30th

Reading
Our story this week Pig in a Wig!
We will have a test over this story on Friday.
We will read it everyday in class.
There is no need to study for this test at home.
It is a comprehension test.

We also have an oral vocabulary test every Friday.
The test has a few sentences made from words we
have been studying. This week we are studying short i words.
Our bonus words will also be in the sentences.
For example : Mix it up!

Spelling
in, pin, it, sit, did, fix, mix, six, lip, wig
Bonus: and, take, up
We will have a spelling test every Friday.
Please go over these words at home for extra practice.
They need to read and spell them.

Math
We are working on counting with tens and ones.
Please practice plus zero and plus one addition facts.

-We will have a handwriting sheet everyday.

-We are working on our “No, David!” books.
